The mosque was built in the 19th century. The decision to build it was made in 1855 and completed in 1857.

It is noteworthy that this is one of the oldest mosques in the city. In 1942, it became the utility room of JSC Zavod im. CM. Kirov. This saved the historical object from complete destruction. For a long time, the mosque was in disrepair and was used as a factory workshop, but its building survived, and the minaret was preserved in its original form. During the restoration, the builders and architects made every effort to ensure that the final appearance of the mosque was as close as possible to the original.

Today it will operate as a museum of Islamic culture.

In the museum, visitors can get information about the mosque, get acquainted with manuscripts, valuable documents about the history and culture of Islam.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Supreme Mufti Nauryzbai kazhy Taganuly, Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Aidarbek Saparov and members of the public.
